My name is Patrick from Beijing Ducks RFC.  Our club is looking to assist UK players to move to Beijing to play for our club in our upcoming 2019 autumn season (early September - mid November) and 2020 spring season (March - mid June).  Eligible players will be set up with well paid teaching roles at one of our partner schools in the city to make sure they are well looked after financially (usually £28k+ per annum after tax).  Return flights are covered by employers and accommodation is also often included in employment packages.  Candidates for this opportunity require a university bachelors degree for visa purposes but do not require specific teaching qualifications or teaching experience. We usually expect a 1 year commitment from players but can be flexible for shorter term stays.

Do you think this is an opportunity that a couple players from Old Laurentians may be interested in?  The level of our rugby competition in China is amateur, therefore this opportunity is open to all players (both men and women) who can hold their own on the field and are interested in a unique overseas playing experience in Beijing.  Our club has quite a few players from the UK so new players will feel very much at home in our club environment.

Please feel free to share this email or the attached image with your club or with any individual players who might be interested in the opportunity.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Kind regards,

Patrick Rosevear

Beijing Ducks RFC President
