A resounding 55-0 win against Pinley gave the 1st XV an overdue first league win of the season when they ran in 8 tries. Dom Hammond went one better than the brace of tries he scored against Stratford a week earlier by going over for a hat-trick of touchdowns. But his overall tally was bettered by Dan Price in his first outing for the team this season, the fly half scoring a try and kicking 8 conversions and a penalty for a personal haul of 20 points.

Mick Warwick's account of the match now available under Match Reports.

A double header this Saturday - England v Argentina on the big screen in the club in the morning (typhoons permitting!) and an Intermediate Cup 3rd round tie against Leicester Forest kicking off at 3.00pm. Forest have made an impressive start to their season winning all 3 games in Midlands 2 East (S) so far to lead the table and will represent a tough hurdle to clear if progress in the cup is to be made.
